FOLLOWING the resignations of three board members of the South West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) in the past two weeks, the board has reportedly been dissolved following a wave of resignations.
Chairman Anil Gosine and director Dr Anand Chattergoon, who were both appointed to the board last year, had previously resigned together reportedly with member Sinanan Dass. Gosine previously told the Express he had chosen to resign for personal reasons and that he did not wish to divulge further, while Chattergoon said that he had chosen to tender his resignation to pursue plans that could potentially benefit the national healthcare system as a whole.
According to reports, the remaining members of the board have also tendered their resignations leading to the dissolution of the board.
