Guyana has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation with Sri Lanka following the accreditation of His Excellency Dharamkumar Seeraj as the country’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to the island nation.
The High Commissioner presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Tuesday, formally accrediting him as Guyana’s representative to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
A Letter of Credence is a formal diplomatic document presented by an ambassador or high commissioner to the head-of-state of a host country, confirming their official appointment. During the ceremony, High Commissioner Seeraj reaffirmed Guyana’s commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship, cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.
