An unidentified man was found near the shoreline behind the Paragon Sports and Cultural Club along the Western Main Road in Cocorite on Tuesday morning.
The discovery was made around 9 a.m. on May 13 by the caretaker at the club, who told police he was walking along the back of the compound near the seashore when he came upon the lifeless body of a man lying on his back.
The deceased is described as a male of African descent, appearing to be in his late fifties, slim build, with a low greying hairstyle. He was clad in a green jersey, black three-quarter pants, and was barefoot. Officers observed what appeared to be blood coming from his ears, suggesting he may have suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
