Celebrating 190 years in Trinidad is the St. Joseph’s Convent. Founded in 1836, St. Joseph’s Convent, Port of Spain, was established as an educational home for girls by six Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny who arrived from Martinique. Past president of the school’s Past Pupils Association, Effuah Alleyne, shared insights into the significance of this historic milestone and the activities planned to commemorate the anniversary, highlighting the institution’s enduring legacy of academic excellence and strong values that continue to shape generations of women.
