A seven-minute walk from his North Street home to Denham Town High School should have been part of 11-year-old Jaydon Whyte’s routine yesterday.
Instead, classmates and teachers are mourning the boy who had dreamt of becoming Jamaica’s prime minister — on what should have been his birthday.
“Miss, me and him used to go Edward Seaga Primary and him always say him ago turn prime minister. Jaydon love school and him a everybody friend,” one of his classmates said. “Him tell me say him did ago come early today because him have extra class. Him really dead fi true?” she asked, tears welling in her eyes.
