The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has apologised for what it called a āmisunderstandingā that led to night mas competitions being cut short by officers on Monday night in Central and South Trinidad.
Police ordered a stand-down of Monday night mas in Couva and San Fernando at least an hour before the events were scheduled to end and while masqueraders were waiting to cross the stage.
'A customary thingā: Chairman, Couva Carnival Committee, Ramchand Rajbal Maraj.
