The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has apologised for what it called a “misunderstanding” that led to night mas competitions being cut short by officers on Monday night in Central and South Trinidad.
Police ordered a stand-down of Monday night mas in Couva and San Fernando at least an hour before the events were scheduled to end and while masqueraders were waiting to cross the stage.
