IN the face of negative feedback, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar stood her ground yesterday on calling T&T a “lawless dump” as she again shot down criticisms from Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles.
Beckles issued a release yesterday taking issue with the imposition of increased customs fees and for death and birth registrations. She said these increases point to Government overreach and the punishment of citizens.
In response, the Prime Minister said in an interview that all the changes were first outlined in the national budget and later in the Finance Bill.
