MONTEGO BAY, St James — Judge Kaysha Grant-Pryce could not hide her surprise when told that a dispute over a measly sum was behind a case before her in the St James Parish Court.
“All of this for $2,000?” the judge asked Wednesday when provided with details of why Jordaine Campbell was before her on a charge of unlawful wounding.
The court heard that about 9:30 am on May 26 the complainant was at his car wash in Montego Bay, St James, when Campbell arrived to have his vehicle cleaned. After the service was completed, Campbell left the location. However, the allegations are that around 2:30 pm that same day Campbell returned and accused the complainant of stealing $2,000 from his vehicle.
