GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) – The Caribbean Community (Caricom) Reparations Commission (CRC) will travel to the United Kingdom next week as part of a renewed push to build international support for reparatory justice, amid what it described as growing global momentum for the issue.
A statement from the Caricom Secretariat said the July 13-16 mission will include meetings with diplomats, academics and civil society organisations, as well as a presentation at the UK Parliament. The engagements will be hosted by the Institute of Commonwealth Studies at the University of London.
The Commission said the visit is aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing public education and civil society engagement on reparatory justice.
