The tip of Trinidad, Cedros, took a beating with the earthquakes which affected Venezuela last Wednesday.
Most visibly at Cedros Beach and the Galfa area. Videos from the shoreline reveal striking changes, including marine life washed ashore, sparking concern about whether seismic activity across the region may be reshaping our coastal landscape.
Geoscientist and Exploration Manager at Touchstone Exploration, Xavier Moonan, noted that while marine life were caught off guard by the sudden uplift of the seabed, the change is temporary and will not have lasting effects on Cedros Beach or nearby communities.
