The fifth running of the $1.25-million Clovis Mtecalfe Trophy, an Overnight Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward, takes centre stage on tomorrow’s 10-race card. The race has attracted a field of 10 going 7½ furlongs (1,500m).

1. FLORINDIA (USA): (5 dk b/br m Gone Astray – Flaring) – Was an impressive 7¾-length winner when stretched out to 7 furlongs on February 28. She failed to follow up when sixth last time, but this distance is no problem for her. Expect a bold bid if she gets a good break.
