A protest outside the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Monday, while United States (US)-sanctioned and indicted Opposition Leader Azruddin Mohamed was appearing in court, descended into violence after demonstrators pushed down police barricades, prompting ranks to discharge tear gas and pellets in an attempt to disperse the crowd and regain control of the situation.
