PresĀiĀdent IrĀfaan Ali has voiced conĀcern over US PresĀiĀdent DonĀald Trumpās plan to imĀpose tarĀiffs on ships/vesĀsels, made in ChiĀna, sayĀing this could imĀpact trade in Guyana and the reĀgion.
In a stateĀment on SatĀurĀday, Ali said Guyana, SuriĀname, Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo would need to asĀsess the imĀpliĀcaĀtions for tankers and othĀer vesĀsels transĀportĀing oil and gas.
āThat of course can have efĀfects on the cost of goods comĀing inĀto the reĀgion, the cost of transĀport comĀing inĀto the reĀgion,ā Ali statĀed.
