Days after Guyana inked a modernised Air Services Agreement with the French Republic, Trans Guyana Airways (TGA) welcomed the initiative, stating that it demonstrates the direct impact that progressive Government policy and aviation diplomacy can have on private-sector growth and national development.
The first agreement was signed approximately 50 years ago, in 1976.
TGA, in a statement on Saturday, stated that the modernised bilateral framework will create new market access and, more importantly, will open a tangible commercial opportunity for a local operator to expand its international footprint, develop a new route, and contribute directly to greater regional connectivity.
