Gunmen stormed a house at Friendship Village, Ste Madeleine and killed a mother and son, and a father and daughter-in-law were left in critical condition in the early hours of Friday.

The double homicide and double wounding occurred on Peterloo Street in Friendship Village.

A police report stated that police officers were alerted around 2.25 a.m. by a resident who told the police that he was awakened from sleep when multiple rounds of gunfire rang out.
