Displaced Coopers Pen families receive relocation grants

Families displaced by last month’s demolition of homes at Coopers Pen in Trelawny have been provided with relocation grants by the Government, coinciding with the planned departure of the first group of residents from the temporary tents where they had been sheltered.

The funds were handed over on Saturday, September 19.

Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Infrastructure Development with responsibility for Land Titling and Settlements, Robert Montague, and Permanent Secretary, Arlene Williams, oversaw the handover.
