National Carnival Commission chairman Peter Kanhai was booed by the audience, who signalled they were unhappy with the new venue, at the opening of the John Cupid Carnival Village at the Queen’s Park Savannah (QPS) in Port of Spain on Friday night.
In a response yesterday, Minister of Culture and Community Development Michelle Benjamin condemned the action by the crowd, calling it distasteful.
