A 25-year-old Trinidadian doctor who travelled to India for a liver transplant died on Tuesday.
Dr Maryam Mohammed of Cunupia died due to complications following the surgery in New Delhi and was buried yesterday, according to Islamic rites.
According to her cousin, Sharida McKenzie, Mohammed underwent a second liver transplant on November 18, 2025, in India, after she experienced complications relating to her initial transplant.
