Newcomers Tru Juice ambush Mt Pleasant for historic JPL win

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Daniel Roberts and Rodave Murray both scored braces as newly promoted Tru Juice FC stunned Mt Pleasant FA 4-0 in their first-ever Jamaica Premier League game, which was held at the Bramwell Clarke Complex in Linstead on Sunday.

Roberts created Tru Juice history when he gave them the lead in the 10th minute, their first goal at this level. He then added a second in the 42nd minute. Murray then scored in the 50th and 57th minutes to complete a brilliant start to the season for the newcomers.

Tru Juice had earned promotion to the JPL after qualifying for the final of the Jamaica Football Championships last season, after losing in the previous three semi-finals.
