THE Public Services Association (PSA) celebrated the passage of the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority (Repeal) Bill 2025 yesterday, while calling the last government’s proposed tax collection entity a “tool of control and political intrusion”.
The legislation governing the proposed TTRA was repealed on Friday night following a vote in the Senate, having been laid in the House of Representatives on June 1 by Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo, where it was also repealed by a vote.
The PSA stated in a release yesterday that “history has once again proven that when workers stand together and speak with one voice, no government, no agenda, no injustice can silence us”.
