Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has praised public servants for their dedication and professionalism, linking their service to the values of compassion, discipline and care celebrated during Ramadan.
Speaking at an Eid function at the Office of the Prime Minister, St Clair, yesterday, Persad-Bissessar said: “Each one here plays a vital role in the work of Government; much of it is done quietly, but essential to serving people of our nation. Just as Ramadan teaches discipline, consistency and care for others, those same qualities are reflected in the service that you do.”
She urged officials and citizens to carry forward the lessons of Ramadan into their work and daily lives.
