THE Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association (TTUTA) has accepted on behalf of teachers a 5% salary increase offer from the State.
The 5% increase covers the negotiating period 2020 to 2023.
In a release yesterday, Good Friday, Chief Personnel Officer Dr Daryl Dindial confirmed TTUTA’s acceptance of the offer and indicated that the increase will have a spread of 1%, 1%, 3%, which represents a closure of the gap by 18.2% followed by the consolidation of the cost of living allowance (COLA) and other improved terms and conditions for members of the teaching service.
