The family of 41-year-old teacher Komal Maharaj is pleading for the public’s help after he went missing under mysterious circumstances on the afternoon of Thursday, again.
Maharaj, a well-known music teacher and financial consultant, was last seen leaving his home at Lyle-Lane Street, Chaguanas, around 1:31 p.m. Surveillance footage from a family camera showed him walking out the front gate dressed in blue jeans, a black long-sleeve zip-up sweater, and sunglasses. He had reportedly been preparing to travel to the Aranguez Hindu School to conduct music lessons scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m.
Earlier that day, Maharaj had exchanged a brief WhatsApp message with his wife, asking what she wanted for lunch. She responded, suggesting a popular eatery, but received no further reply. Multiple attempts to contact him since then have gone unanswered, with phone calls going straight to voicemail and messages remaining unread.
