The Opposition People's National Party (PNP) has remembered former Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister Dean Peart as a dedicated public servant whose decades of service have left a lasting impact on the Manchester North Western constituency and Jamaica.

Peart has passed away.

In a statement on Sunday, the party said Peart was a proud son of Manchester who carried forward a strong political legacy established by his father, former parliamentarian Ernest Peart.
