A High Court jury will soon hear closing arguments in a drug case involving more than 37 kilogrammes of cannabis discovered at the Bridgetown Port.
Eric Astor Omar Gibson, of West Terrace, St James, has denied that between February 5 and 7, 2019, he was in possession of 37.9 kilogrammes of cannabis and that he committed acts preparatory to trafficking the controlled drug.
On Friday, the accused gave an unsworn statement from the dock in the No. 5 Supreme Court and indicated that he would not be calling any witnesses.
