Clarabelle Tardieu has been released after more than a month in captivity following her abduction from Monos Island.
Senior police officials confirmed a ransom was paid for Clarabelle Tardieu’s release but declined further comment.
Guardian Media confirmed the 47-year-old was freed during the early hours of Thursday along the North Coast of Trinidad and later taken to the Northern Division. She was transported for medical treatment and reunited with relatives shortly after her release.
