GUNMEN opened fire on a couple travelling in a vehicle in Princes Town, killing the woman and leaving a man wounded in the early hours of Wednesday.

The ambush occurred shortly after midnight and claimed the life of Monifer Carrie, 27, of Beetham Gardens. Isaiah Cruickshank, aka ‘Touchy’, 31, of Moonan Avenue on Manahambre Road, in Princes Town, was wounded and hospitalised following the shooting.

A police report stated that the couple were driving along a roadway in a white Nissan Sentra headed in an easterly direction along Malgretoute Road, when a white Nissan AD wagon blocked their vehicle along the road around 12.20 a.m. near Manahambre Branch Street.
