No students were affected by a food incident last week following reports of lizards being found in boxed meals for a school in Central Trinidad, says the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry added that the “compromised batch” was identified before distribution and did not enter the distribution chain.
In a release yesterday, the Ministry stated that “the National Schools Dietary Services Limited (NSDSL), a Limited Liability Company under the purview of the MOE, had successfully completed its operational response to an isolated food safety incident involving a single batch of food product supplied to one of its contracted caterers by an approved roti manufacturer”.
