The 2026 Education Month activities will commence with the opening of school on Monday, including the launch of a “Driver’s Education Programme” on the Guyana Digital School (GDS) platform and the commissioning of AUTOCAD facilities at a number of schools, and will end with the hosting of an Education Awards on October 2.
The activities will also include a TVET Fair, a documentary on “60 Years of Education”, and a National Conference on Education, Innovation, and Development from September 29 to October 1.
This is according to the 2026 Education Month calendar of activities released by the Ministry of Education (MoE) on Saturday. Celebrated annually in September, this year Education Month is being observed under the theme “From Classrooms to Communities, Education Transforms Lives”.
