(Kaieteur News) – In recent times, Guyanese have been eyewitnesses to the extraordinary. The political reaches for a connection to the biblical. Many are likely to see that as offensive, corrosive, and more of the abusive. Desperation is preferred. Swinging in the wind in the hope of touching the spiritual. The same God that was provoked and revoked, is now invoked.
A great development, I say. ‘When tings geh baad, run to gawd.’ Another reference to sacred text caught the ear, wolves extracted from the pages of scripture and let loose. Wolves retrieved and employed for political objectives. Fascinating, I say. Now, here’s one that should echo across Guyana, from the heights to the depths. Beware of false prophets in the midst. Now matters warm up, cut closer to the core.
