The theme for this year’s Olympic Day, ‘Let’s Move, You Can Do This’, is a steadfast call to the citizens of the world to unite in taking confidently that first bold step in discounting the challenges of life and living and in building harmony and peace. It is a clarion cry for cooperative action for change and transformation.

But in taking that first step, let us understand and acknowledge that the power of the human mind, body, and spirit resides within and not in outward achievements and semblance. Our legacy is not in mortal edifices and encomia, but in truth and integrity, those DNA values that cannot be traded or purchased.
