Multitime men's national senior triple jump champion Jordan Scott is on a mission as he aims for the world record in the event, held by Great Britain's Jonathan Edwards with his 18.29-metre mark set in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1995.
Scott, who celebrates his 29th birthday in a few days (June 29), is in tremendous form in the hop, step, and jump event, where he is the Diamond League leader on 22 points.
Scott, who recently produced a lifetime best of 17.69m to finish second behind Portugal's Pedro Pichardo’s world lead of 17.71m at the Doha Diamond League, was at the National Stadium on Sunday, the final day of the National Senior Championships, but did not compete in the event.
