“They are liars!” That was the strong rebuke from Public Services Association (PSA) president Felisha Thomas, who has accused the Opposition of misleading the public with claims that a 9% wage offer was extended to public servants over a six-year period during its tenure in office.
During Monday’s budget presentation Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo announced instructions for negotiations to begin between the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) and public servants on a proposed 10% salary increase.
Yesterday during a news conference at PSA headquarters in Port of Spain, Thomas slammed the Opposition for remarks made during its post-budget news conference.
