Over 90 contractors bid to rebuild Little Diamond-Herstelling NDC office

(Kaieteur News) – Some 94 contractors are vying for the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development’s contract to rebuild a new Little Diamond- Herstelling Neighborhood Democratic Council (NDC) on the East Bank of Demerara.

This is according to the bids submitted to the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office. No government engineer’s estimate was provided by NPTAB on its website, but according to the bids, contractors proposed between $31 million and $111 million to execute the works.

The Little Diamond- Herstelling Neighborhood Democratic Council was destroyed by fire in June this year. The fire which destroyed sections of the building also caused minor damage to the Providence Nursery School.
