GL&SC moves to repossess 9.92 acres of State land at Long Creek

(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission (GL&SC) has issued a notice of its intention to cancel a State land lease covering 9.920 acres at Long Creek, along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, paving the way for the repossession and possible reallocation of the property.

According to Notice No. 2783, published in the Official Gazette, First Supplement, on August 29, 2026, the notice represents the third publication concerning the cancellation and repossession of State Land Lease No. A 26281.

The notice, issued by the Commissioner of the GL&SC, states that the Commission proposes to cancel Lease No. A 26281, held by Munishwar Singh, in respect of 9.920 acres of State land identified as Tract “MS” at Long Creek, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
