The in­ter-is­land fer­ry ser­vice has out­lined how it will man­age car­go op­er­a­tions dur­ing the tran­si­tion pe­ri­od be­fore the ar­rival of the MV Blue Wave Har­mo­ny.

The Port Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go said con­tin­gency arrange­ments would take ef­fect fol­low­ing the ex­piry of the MV Cabo Star’s lease on Jan­u­ary 12, 2026, and re­main in place ahead of the Blue Wave Har­mo­ny’s ex­pect­ed ar­rival on or about Jan­u­ary 18—sub­ject to weath­er con­di­tions and reg­u­la­to­ry clear­ances.

Un­der the con­tin­gency plan, car­go and pas­sen­ger ser­vices will be sup­port­ed through the co­or­di­nat­ed de­ploy­ment of ex­ist­ing ves­sels, us­ing es­tab­lished car­go pri­or­i­ties and book­ing chan­nels.
