CSEC GRADES: THE ANXIOUS CHILD CARRYING THE ANXIOUS SOCIETY

(Kaieteur News) – The achievement of Guyanese young people should not be diminished. They demonstrate remarkable memory, discipline, intellectual capacity, organisation and perseverance. 12-26 subjects are exceptional when taken into consideration the national pass grade of 67%. That’s about 4 of every 10 students that failed CSEC. Guyanese children collective educational is about unconscious social anxieties that is expressed through educational behaviour.

Education asks, “What can this child understand, create, communicate and do?” Credentialism asks, “How many subjects did this child pass, how many Grade Ones did they receive, and where did they rank?”
