THE House of Representatives and the Senate will sit simultaneously on December 9 from 1.30 pm.
The Senate will debate the Finance Bill 2025 at its sitting while the House will debate the Summary Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
The objective of the latter is to "regulate the use of fireworks by way of a permit system, and to make breaches of the law a ticket offence."
