âI love people, but I donât like ghosts.â
This was the response from Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday as she answered questions on the removal of 8,000 âghostsâ from the payroll of the Unemployment Relief Programme (URP).
In a telephone interview with the Express on Thursday, URP manaÂger Feeroz Khan said the daily-paid component of the proÂgramme had been susÂpended.
