A 55-year-old man died af­ter be­ing elec­tro­cut­ed while work­ing on a rooftop in Plum Mi­tan on Tues­day af­ter­noon.

The de­ceased has been iden­ti­fied as An­tho­ny Simp­son Ba­boolal of 7mm LP 66 Plum Mi­tan.

Po­lice said that about 3.00 pm on De­cem­ber 17, Ba­boolal was at­tend­ing to elec­tri­cal wires on the roof of a small wood­en stor­age struc­ture next to his home. The struc­ture, which was ser­viced by the Trinidad and To­ba­go Elec­tric­i­ty Com­mis­sion, stood about eight feet high.
