An 88-year-old man, his 90-year-old wife and their daughter were tied up by bandits who invaded their El Socorro home on Thursday morning and escaped with cash, jewellery and other valuables.
The suspects, three of whom entered the house, reportedly arrived at the property along Todd Street around 7.10 am in a grey sport utility vehicle (SUV) bearing false registration plates.
Police said the men first entered a downstairs apartment, where they announced a robbery and ordered a male occupant to lie on the ground before binding his hands with tie straps.
