A MAN who was shot and killed in Seventh Avenue, Malick on Thursday has been identified as Elijah Sambury, 23 who lived near where he died.

Police said that around 2.00 p.m. Sambury was among a larger group of people working at a carwash located on the compound of Trinate Contractors Hardware, on Seventh Avenue when a dark-coloured Nissan Tiida stopped nearby.

Two men got out and armed with guns, they opened fire hitting Sambury and another man, Owen Randolph, 21 of Barataria.
