A 25-year-old St Anns welder is the country’s latest murder victim as he was gunned down by men wearing police caps and tactical gear on Thursday afternoon.
Police said Jamal Williams and another man were liming on Symond Valley Road, at around 6.45 pm when they saw a grey Suzuki Grand Vitara drive along St Anns Road, before reversing onto Symond Valley Road, eventually stopping nearby.
Residents reported seeing three gunmen wearing “dark-coloured clothing” with police hats, at least one of whom wore a bulletproof vest bearing the insignia ‘Police’ getting out of the car.
