A Charford Court, Port of Spain man who allegedly shot at Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander 23 years ago when he was a police officer has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the High Court.
In delivering a not guilty verdict yesterday, Justice Hayden St Clair-Douglas said he had serious doubts when it came to Alexander’s evidence and that of other State witnesses who had testified during the trial against Ken Foster.
In addition to allegedly shooting at Alexander on April 3, 2002, Foster was also accused of shooting at officers Phillip Forbes, Andrew Lawrence and Victor Graham, possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
