Thousands of fans flooded Flava Village at the Queen’s Park Savannah last night for Always Us, the free concert hosted by soca star Patrice Roberts, and she made good on her promise to bring “everything” to the stage.
From the moment she appeared, Roberts whipped the crowd into a frenzy, delivering a high-energy set packed with a mix of classic favourites and newer hits. The Rock So singer also shared the spotlight with several of her soca colleagues, including Mical Teja, Nailah Blackman, Shal Marshall, Shurwayne Winchester, and Yung Bredda, who each added to the electrifying atmosphere.
Always Us replaced Roberts’s annual ticketed I Am Woman concert this year, a decision she said was made with the public in mind, acknowledging that many citizens are facing financial and personal challenges.
