CAPE TOWN – Bran­don King and Gu­dakesh Motie were the on­ly two West In­dies play­ers picked up in the 2025/26 SA20 auc­tion, which took place in South Africa on Tues­day.

While 28 West In­di­ans sub­mit­ted their names for the auc­tion, with Sea­son 4 of the T20 tour­na­ment set to bowl off on De­cem­ber 26, 2025, on­ly Motie and King were draft­ed.

Motie, a left-arm spin­ner, was picked up by the Paarl Roy­als for R375,000 (US$21,437.41), while King, an ex­plo­sive bats­man, was bought by the Joburg Su­per Kings for R200,000 (US$11,435.62).
