As hun­dreds of dri­vers faced an ear­ly morn­ing grid­lock dri­ving in­to Port-of-Spain, af­ter a woman was fa­tal­ly struck cross­ing the high­way in El So­cor­ro on Mon­day morn­ing, the Min­istry of Trans­port and Civ­il Avi­a­tion said it is tem­porar­i­ly open­ing of the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route (PBR) to light mo­tor ve­hi­cles to­day from Ma­coya to Port of Spain in the west­bound di­rec­tion on­ly.

The min­istry stat­ed that the route will be opened from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The min­istry said the tem­po­rary mea­sure ap­plies on­ly to light mo­tor ve­hi­cles trav­el­ling west­bound along the PBR be­tween Ma­coya and Port of Spain.
