After authorities spent hours searching for a man believed to be missing after his vehicle submerged in flood waters on Trantrill Road, St Augustine, he was found at home.
Shortly after 6 p.m. yesterday, Rural Development and Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen confirmed to the Express the safety of the man who was the driver of one of three vehicles submerged during the incident.
Earlier, the ministry stated that at “approximately 10.30 a.m., the Tunapuna/Piarco Disaster Management Unit responded to a distress call from individuals who were traversing through an area known to be prone to flooding—Trantrill Road, which indicated that three vehicles became trapped in the flood waters”.
