Friends of Kaia Sealy, the 25-year-old woman critically injured by police last week, will stage a protest on Sunday at Woodford Square, opposite the Red House, calling for justice for her and her common-law husband, Joshua Samaroo, who was killed by police.
The release of CCTV footage last week, showing police officers opening fire on a car after a crash in Valsayn last Tuesday, leaving Samaroo dead and Sealy paralysed has shocked many.
Sealy’s friends and former classmates from Bishop’s Anstey High School, Alyssa Phillip and Mariah Walcott, are spearheading the protest and are urging the public to join them in their call for accountability.
