The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is stepping up its digital forensics, tackling cyberbullying in schools and building international partnerships, all while pushing for updated legislation to better protect citizens in the digital space.
According to Sergeant Marvin Walker, the Cyber and Social Media Unit, formally established on March 12th, 2020, was created to bring digital evidence into investigations across the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
He noted that the Class One specialist unit focuses on two primary areas: digital forensics and social media investigations.
